Caring and Loving People To Christ

Faith Drop
Youth Retreat
Youth

We believe it is imperative, especially today, to offer Christian teenagers a place where they can work and play in the company of peers who believe as they do. The Youth committee, made up of congregational members, parents, and the teens, plan all of the Youth Group activities, which include community service projects, fundraisers, and lots of fun events.

These activities have included:
-Car wash
-Food sale at garage sale
-Serving lunch to senior citizens
-Laser tag
-Skiing and snowboarding
-Bake sales
-Canned food drive
-Attending concerts
-Calendar sale
-Sledding
-Snow shoveling
-Weekend retreat
-Lock-in at the church
-"Intertainment Book" sale
-Participating in a charity bowl-a-thon
-Making and serving Easter breakfast
-Helping on church "clean-up" days
-Dinner and movie night

Journey to the Cross

The youth discovered the program and guidelines for Journey to the Cross just after New Year's last year, and it struck us just reading the descriptions that this was something remarkable. And yet it was so simple. So we set out to present it to the congregation. It was made up of thirteen stations, each with a meditative statement, most with physical props, that let the observer walk in Jesus' footsteps, to feel what He felt emotionally and spiritually, to think what He thought. Our visitors took their time, stayed at each station as long as they felt necessary, and left us comments about how much they were touched by the experience. We invite you to join us again this year, take the journey with Jesus by your side, and take time to feel the Easter season fully with all your senses. The Last Days of Jesus, the Journey to the Cross will be presented by the youth of Qwest Ministries, Centennial Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 22, 2008 between 5 and 7 PM. There is no charge for this journey. Tell your friends and family about this meaningful experience.
